Cavalo Nero, page 17

my effrontery comes from the earth
I can hold natural elements
in my generous palms
but horizons move always too fast
I find myself in another hug
already aware of its ending to come

this excoriating ending
marries this empy-headed heart

they say to forget
I say to watch my mouth
at least for the eternity
